Weather Policy

The weather is one of the only factors we cannot control. We make our best effort to be up to date and work around forecasts because our practice times are important to our player and team development. In addition, we have paid for and scheduled coaches time and the field space at our various facilities before the start of the season.

FCA's weather policy is, cancellations only occur prior to practice with at least an 80% chance of rain or higher during the scheduled hours of practice. However, safety is our top priority, and if we see lightening, or if there is a downpour, we will ask parents and players to return to their cars or a covered place to wait to see the severity of the weather. We know this is not comfortable but it is out of our control. We thank you for your understanding. We hope that you can utilize the time waiting out the weather to connect with your child. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE PRACTICE IF WEATHER IS UNCERTAIN. We ask you stay near the practice fields.

We trust and recommend that if you feel that the travel time spent to the risk of weather is not in the best interest of your child, please communicate your attendance to your head coach. Emails are on our website under coaching staff.

If you have any questions about this policy you are welcome to contact, Riley DeSmit (rdesmit@fca.org) or Christina Bohannon (fcagalacrosse@gmail.com).
